Initiatives
guiding you to create quality Experiences.
These quality initiatives support our values and help students develop employability skills through experiential learning. We aim to broaden the learning experience of our students and help the community connect, share knowledge and achieve mutual success.
CUSP Innovation Workshop
The CUSP Innovation Workshop was created by St. Lawrence College students to guide participants through activities, experiences, and challenges that trigger a shift in perspective; priming minds for more innovative thinking.
Through problem-based and experiential learning, participants unlock their creative potential, strengthen their problem-solving skills, and fulfill their innovative potential through collaboration.

Social Hackathon
A Hackathon is a fun way to demonstrate that a lot can be achieved when a broad spectrum of people work collaboratively together to solve problems. The social component sought by St. Lawrence College points to the philosophy of a hackathon for good that will have a positive impact in the immediate community and beyond.
The Social Hackathon provides an experiential learning opportunity that will assist in the development of student’s critical thinking skills, career readiness, and real-world social views through interactions with mentors.

Escape SLC
Escape SLC, an interesting take on an old classic, creatively combines elements of an escape room with those of a scavenger hunt. These mobile games challenge participants to work together to solve a mystery and escape before time runs out.
The hybrid team building and problem-solving activities are developed in house, fully run by students and are a hit on the college campus.
