Enactus SLC 2021-2022 Caps Off with an Award!

From May 5th to May 12th our Enactus St. Lawrence College student team competed against the rest of Canada at the 2022 Enactus Canada Nationals Exposition which was hosted virtually this year. In late September of this year, the in-person element will take place in Toronto where students and faculty members will watch the top-4 teams compete for who represents Canada at Enactus Worlds. At this event, there will be plentiful networking opportunities, career resources, and job fairs with community partners! This past year Enactus St. Lawrence College was awarded a runner-up award for nearly getting into the top 16 of nearly 70 plus Enactus teams across Canada! The projects the students were engaged in focus on community-based learning to positively impact people financially through the Manage your Money project,

During the experience, we bonded as a team and built leadership skills. We learned about various projects that were tackling food insecurity, financial literacy, challenges with the environment and a host of other humanitarian causes. We enjoyed multiple presentations put on by our counterparts and our team was able to take on new ideas for next year.

This was a great learning experience for all of the Enactus SLC team and we are eager to start on new projects while improving previous ones. We are part of a community that is continuously working towards improving the world, and this event was one small step on that path.
