New Booking Platform for the Innovation Hub Rooms!

As the Innovation Hub continues to grow and adapt we are looking at improving the internal workings of how to use the space. This lead us to innovate on the way we were handling booking the rooms. We are excited to be a part of the Skedda booking platform!

Below is a list of FAQs that have been asked during the testing of our new booking platform. If these do not answer your questions please reach out to Jadon (jhook@sl.on.ca) and he will help you with what you need!

Q: Where can I go to book?

A: You can go to our “Room Bookings” page on the Innovation Hub website (https://innovationhubslc.ca/the-rooms) and click on the Book Here! Button or use the embedded calendar. You can also just bookmark the link and go there if you are booking often!

Q: Are there capacity limits due to COVID-19?

A: Following the local guidelines and St. Lawrence College direction we are cutting capacity from the rooms' original numbers by 50% and distance must be maintained as well as mask usage. We ask that everyone who enters also santize their hands on the way in and to work with our staff to ensure distancing is possible to respect people’s comfort levels.

Q: Where is my booking data secured?

A: The data that you give us to book is not saved anywhere except for St. Lawrence College’s secured networks. The Skedda Innovation Hub platform only keeps data for 7 days before being deleted and then it is moved to the SLC databases.

Q: Do I need to make an account/user?

A: You only need to create/sign in with your SLC student or staff account once and as long as you are using the same devices and account it should automatically log yourself in so you can book with ease!


Q: How do I sync the booking with my Outlook calendar?

A: In the confirmation email there is a link that will connect your calendar to the booking you may also do this with other calendar options. Once you do this once it will automatically send it to your calendar. We are looking at implementing an automatic push notification with our partners at Skedda.

Q: How do I know if my booking is approved?

A: If you receive a confirmation email, this means your booking is approved. Sometimes if the booking is more unusual than most that is received you may be contacted about specific details or to change something about the booking.
